My collages are built from vintage imagery, magnetic poetry, glitter, glamour, dread, domestic rituals, and other suspicious materials. I’m interested in the moment a familiar image becomes absurd and unreliable — villainous sandwiches, poisonous pin up girls, cute little creatures arriving with terrible news.
About the work
Cut, Arranged, Lightly Cursed
Each collage is built from hand-cut vintage books and magazines, text fragments, paint, ribbon, glitter, and the occasional thrifted frame. The process is part excavation, part sabotage: I take images that were trying very hard to be normal and help them become their true, weirder selves.
